The Rising of the Shield Hero’s protagonist is Naofumi Iwatani. To serve as one of the Four Legendary Heroes, he was sent to another world.

Her name is Raphtalia, and she is a character in The Rising of the Shield Hero: Book 1. She is the shield hero’s first actual buddy.

Despite the fact that she was sold as a slave, she was never mistreated and developed a close relationship with her master as a result. Katana Hero later journeys to another realm to obtain the Vassal Katana, which makes her a hero (Katana no Yuusha).

After deposing the former emperor, she ascends to the position of Heavenly Emperor of Q’ten Lo.

One of Raphtalia’s Filolial companions, she grows into a Filolial Queen thanks to the Shield Hero’s influence, and she is a constant companion to the hero, as she has unique class-up benefits. Second Princess Melty Q Melromarc also becomes a close friend of hers.

One of the Seven Star Heroes, Rishia Ivyred serves as the Bow Hero’s sidekick. She is a descendant of an aristocratic family that was formerly a slave to the Shield Hero.

The main antagonist of the series is Malty S Melromarc, better known as Bitch (Bicchi). Melromarc’s former first princess Naofumi Iwatani betrayed her by claiming that she had been sexually assaulted by him.

After her falsehoods were uncovered, she was exiled from the royal family and she betrayed the other three heroes.

After the death of her mother and the conflict with Faubrey, Melty Q Melromarc, the Second and Crown Princess of Melromarc, becomes the new Queen of Melromarc.

Out of spite, she raised Naofumi Iwatani to the rank of Archduke, but it backfired when she realised the role was merely a title and that they were technically engaged.

The previous Queen of Melromarc, Mirellia Q Melromarc, is a just and skilled diplomat and negotiator who bears the true power behind the throne of Melromarc.

Her crown princess daughter, Melty Q Melromarc, succeeded to the throne and became the new Queen of Melromarc upon her mother’s passing.
