Are there any plans for The Chi season 5 now that the first four seasons have been so highly accepted and released?
The Chi premiered on Showtime (Shameless) on January 7, 2018, and has now released four seasons of drama. On April 7, 2019, the second season premiered.
Both the third and fourth seasons were released on different dates: June 21, 2020 and May 23, 2022. There are ten episodes per season, each lasting between 46 and 58 minutes.
This show is about a group of people who are all connected in a South Side Chicago neighbourhood. This show also depicts the impact of police violence on the neighbourhood.
The Chi, created by Lena Waithe, has received high accolades from critics and a devoted following for its social critique and accurate portrayal of rural life and police oppression.

IMDB gives the show a 7.3 out of 10 rating, and Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 63 percent average audience rating, with an average of 4.2 million weekly viewers. The Chi is without a doubt Showtime’s most streamed TV show of all time.
The Chi’s fourth season has been released, and fans are now wondering if there will be a fifth. Is it going to be resurrected or cancelled?
The Chi Season 5: When Can We Expect It?
The good news is that the fifth season of The Chi has been officially announced. On August 2, 2021, a press release was issued announcing the news.
Filming is expected to begin at the end of 2021 and last through 2022. So we can expect the fifth season of The Chi to premiere around the middle of 2022 or at the end of the year. Meanwhile, it appears that fans will have to wait a long time.
The Chi Season 5: What’s in Store?
After waiting for Tiffany to pick between him and Dante in season three, we watch Emmett try to move on from Tiffany in season four.
In spite of Tiffany finally deciding on him and saying that she would be committed to him, she sees her client Rob after Jada’s party and has a kissing session with him. Keisha and Christian made their relationship official in the previous season.
Using the video footage of Douda beating Marcus, Trig blackmails the mayor into leaving town. It appears that Roselyn will serve as acting mayor while he is away. It’s safe to say that Chi season 5 will pick up right where the previous season left off.
In addition to dealing with Tiffany’s advances on Rob, Emmett and Douda will have to cope with the growing rift between them. For the first time since her diagnosis, Jada has a fresh start in life. Chi season 5 will also depict the community’s resilience in the face of adversity.

Which Actors Are Confirmed for Chi Season 5?
It has also been revealed that the primary cast of The Chi season 5 will return, with the exception of a few characters. Jacob Latimore as Emmett, Luke James as Trig, Curtiss Cook as Douda, and Michael V. Epps as Jake are among the cast members.
Alex Hibbert will play Kevin, Shamon Brown Jr. will play Papa, and Birgundi Baker will play Keisha, to name just a few.
Now we’ll have to wait until Showtime or the show’s producers have given us another hint as to which characters are coming back. The first through fourth seasons of The Chi may be seen on Showtime as we wait for season 5.
