Netflix’s High Rise Invasion is one of many shows that have gained worldwide popularity. The show has elements of action, suspense, and horror.
High Rise Invasion attempts to be a horror film, but it fails miserably. Although there are many gory sequences in the series, there are also many hilarious moments and fan service.
Tenkuu Shinpan, a Japanese manga series written by Tsuina Miura and illustrated by Takahiro Oba, was the inspiration for High Rise Invasion. Since December 5, 2013, it has been serialised on DeNA’s Manga Box app in Japanese, Chinese, and English. On April 4, 2019, the manga’s twenty-one tankobon volumes came to an end.
High Rise Invasion has been published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment since June 12, 2018, in French by Kana since July 8, 2016, in Italian as Sky Violation since October 12, 2017, and in German, by Egmont Manga since June 1, 2016, under the title “Sky High Survival” in all of those languages.
From July 28, 2019, until April 24, 2021, a sequel manga, named High-Rise Invasion Arrive, was serialised on the Magazine Pocket website and app by Kodansha. There have been seven volumes published so far.
Status of High Rise Invasion Season 2
On October 26, 2020, the Netflix Anime Festival released the first details of an original net animation (ONA) anime adaptation of the manga series High Rise Invasion. A total of twelve episodes were shown on February 25, 2021, and the series ended after that.
Zero-G, the studio most known for Grand Blue, Rikekoi, Tsugumomo, and last but not least, My Roommate is a Cat, animated High Rise Invasion. Rikekoi’s second season was slated for release in April 2022, if that helps.
Many viewers are eagerly anticipating the release of a second season of the show following the conclusion of the first. As far as I know, High Rise Invasion Season 2 has not been renewed. Netflix hasn’t commented on it yet.
There has been no news from Netflix or the anime series’ studios on a season renewal as of yet. Even if it’s been cancelled, there’s still a potential for the show to return.
High Rise Invasion Season 2
High Rise Invasion Season 2 may be in the works, however it hasn’t been formally announced. It’s mostly because there’s more than enough material to make another attempt.
The manga’s first 150 chapters have been covered in the first season of the anime series. Not to mention the 86-chapter sequel to the manga series. So, theoretically, a new season could have 194 chapters.
After the manga series was finished, High Rise Invasion was developed. This is the first anime to do so. There are no issues like “manga has concluded hence season renewal would be doubtful” in this situation, however.
Then there’s the fact that Netflix’s economic plan is normally to acquire a show for a maximum of three seasons. One of the shows is Beastars. For High Rise Invasion, this may also be the case.
High Rise Invasion Season 2 predictions are just that: guesses. For the time being, as Netflix subscribers, our only option is to sit tight and wait for an official announcement. However, if Netflix magically announced a second season this year, we may expect it to premiere in 2024.
