‘Daybreak Season 2’ Release Date, Plot, Cast and More

The first season ended on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers to wonder what is going on. Will they find out in the second season of Daybreak?

Daybreak is a post-apocalyptic American TV comedy, drama, and thriller created by Brad Peyton and Aron Eli Coleite, based on Brian Ralph’s comic strip of the same name.

Netflix’s first season of Daybreak consists of ten episodes, each lasting between 38 and 50 minutes long, which premiered on October 24, 2019.

Entertainment

Daybreak tells the story of Josh Wheeler, a 17-year-old high school student who is attempting to survive the zombies and gang battles in order to find and save his girlfriend, Sam Dean.

Angelica, a 10-year-old child, and Wesley, Josh’s high school bully, are among the people he meets on his journey. Instead of just focusing on survivors of a zombie apocalypse, this TV show is more concerned with the rivalry between criminal organisations.

Daybreak Season 2

It gets a mixed bag of reviews from people who have seen it, with some saying it’s not all that great but also not all that horrible. On Rotten Tomatoes, the TV show has received a 70 percent critics’ rating and a 66% average viewer score.

But the fact remains that, if you’re hoping to watch something frightful and blood-curdling like a zombie TV show, search elsewhere. It’s more of a gang fight drama, comedy, or action show.

Is a Daybreak Season 2 in The Works?

Netflix (Haunted) opted not to continue with this TV series in December 2019, barely one month after the launch of the first season. Fans of Daybreak season 2 are devastated by this news, which immediately becomes a great heartache for them.

There was no explanation for Netflix’s decision to terminate the show. However, some may conclude that the show’s cancellation is due to a lack of viewership.

Not only are the authors themselves disappointed by the news, but so are the fans. There’s a lot of untapped potential in Daybreak. In the meantime, let’s hope Netflix reconsiders or another network decides to continue Daybreak season 2!

Plot Suggestions for Daybreak Season 2

In season one, we learn that Sam isn’t the Sam Josh was familiar with. Instead, she seizes power and ascends to the position of supreme leader within a gang.

Daybreak season 2 would give us the opportunity to observe how Sam becomes a dangerous individual and perhaps even a new villain.

The story will also feature Josh, who is struggling to realise that Sam is not a helpless maiden in need of rescue. There may also be new gangs, and fresh gang fights may occur.

There’s a good chance that Ms. Crumble may reveal her identity to Angelica, as well as the fate of the woman she claims to be th e daughter of.

Instead than focusing just on the gang war in the second chapter, I think they’ll up the zombie aspect to make it scarier and more horror-oriented.

There’s no guarantee that it will increase ratings or viewership. As a matter of fact, that isn’t the original concept of this show based on its comic book series, which is all about street-gang battles in the thick of the Zombie Panic of 2013.
